Even though there are already many laws and policies that can guarantee the protection of vulnerable groups, there are still various difficulties in their implementation.
Especially when referring to the Law on Legal Aid, the qualifications of legal aid recipients are, in fact, still limited to indicators of economic incapacity, so they are considered unable to provide an equal sense of justice for all citizens.
Actually, who are the vulnerable groups? What legal problems did they experience?
Our members, PBHI and YLBHI, alongside IJRS and LBH APIK Association, have carried out and published research, “2022 Legal Needs Survey of Vulnerable Groups” to be able to provide an overview of the needs of vulnerable groups who are conflicted with the law in Indonesia
