BALAOD successfully gathered and trained 24 individuals from 8 organizations last February 15-17. The 3-day Human Rights Violation Documentation Training was held at Almont Beach Resort, Surigao City.
BALAOD tackled Human rights concepts, principles and the Philippine legal system. It also trained the participants how to document, gather evidence, and create affidavits in the case of Human rights violations in their communities.
The event was supported by The Asia Foundation ADHIKA II and in partnership with CHR Caraga. Trainings like these not only capacitate individuals, but also pave the way for sustainable partnerships.
