FORUM-ASIA Participation at the EU-CSO Forum, Brussels March 17-18 2016

Urantsooj Gombosuren, Chairperson of FORUM-ASIA and of the Centre for Human Rights and Development (CHRD), Mongolia and Evelyn Balais-Serrano, Executive Director of FORUM-ASIA, represented the organisation t the EU-CSO Forum held in Brussels, Belgium on March 17-18, 2016. The Forum is an annual gathering that brings together civil society organisations (CSOs) from both the international development and human rights constituencies with European institutions and member states. The main objective of the Forum is to further implement EU’s policy towards supporting the enabling environment, participation and capacity of CSOs as actors of governance as well as EU’s commitment to promote and protect human rights, the rule of law and democracy worldwide.
FORUM-ASIA members who attended the Forum include Henri Tiphagne, former Chairperson and Executive Director of People’s Watch, India and Adilur Rahman Khan, Secretary of Odhikar, Bangladesh and current Executive Committee member. Both Henri and Adilur spoke in different panels during the event.
