As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold and the number of cases continue to rise, civic space and the standard of human rights in Southeast Asia have deteriorated.
In conjunction with the 36th ASEAN Summit, civil society is carving out a space for themselves to convene, assess the human rights situation in Southeast Asia and amplify their voices on matters of concern to the region.
Along with several partners, FORUM-ASIA is proud to present the ASEAN Community Virtual Summit. A town hall meeting will be organised as part of the virtual summit.
Town Hall Meeting: ASEAN Member States’ Accountability on Human Rights During and Post COVID-19
Be a part of a dialogue with civil society organisation members, human rights defenders and representatives from various groups as they discuss and convey concerns on fundamental freedoms to Southeast Asian legislators.
