Advocacy Programme as one of three main programmes work closely with other two programmes – thematic and country programmes in cooperation with the Linkage Programme.

Advocacy Programme recently became organizational priority when FORUM-ASIA was granted UN consultative status in 2004. Advocacy Programme is composed of three areas – UN human rights bodies (UN Advocacy), Human rights treaty bodies (Treaty Bodies Advocacy) and regional inter-governmental bodies (Regional Advocacy).

The regional Secretariat coordinates the international advocacy at the inter-governmental bodies while FORUM-ASIA's member organizations are engaged in advocacy at the national level.
