East Asia and ASEAN Programme Officer (or Associate)

The EA & ASEAN Programme Officer carries out tasks under the overall guidance of the East Asia & ASEAN Programme Manager. The EA & ASEAN Programme Officer assists the East Asia & ASEAN Programme Manager in overseeing the implementation of the Organisational Strategic Plan.

Management Support and Coordination Internship

FORUM-ASIA has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and a consultative relationship with the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights(AICHR).

The Senior Management Team (SMT) is a collective leadership model responsible for the oversight of the FORUM-ASIA Secretariat and the programmes of FORUM-ASIA in line with its Statutes, By-Laws, and other policies including its Gender Policy, Environment Impact Policy as well as the Staff Rules and Regulations (SRR), Financial Rules and Regulations (FRR) and decisions of the Executive Committee (EC) and the General Assembly.

The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) is the largest membership-based human rights and development organization in Asia. FORUM-ASIA works to promote and protect all human rights for all, including the right to development, through collaboration and cooperation among human rights organizations and defenders in Asia and beyond. Currently, we are looking for a Development and Knowledge Management Programme Manager position, to be responsible for this position.

CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FROM AN INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL AUDIT FIRM

FORUM-ASIA, on behalf of I4C – EA, as a non-Federal entity having spent more than $750,000 during the FY 2022 in Federal awards is required to complete a single audit for that year in accordance with the USAID Financial Audit Guide for Foreign Organizations ADS 591maa, USAID Financial Audit Guidelines) and consistent with the provisions of 2 CFR Part 200, Subpart F.

The audit must be conducted in accordance with the US GAGAS – Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards. The independent auditor must determine whether the financial statements of FORUM-ASIA, on behalf of I4C – EA, are presented fairly in all material respects in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP), or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), or International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

Finance Officer (G2-2)

The Finance Programme oversees the financial resources of FORUM‐ASIA and is in charge of the planning, organising, financial reporting to donors, auditing, and accounting of FORUM‐ASIA’s finances. The Finance officer will be working under the guidance and supervision of the Finance Manager with the following tasks and deliverables:

Consultants Open Call – Fundraising/Resource Mobilisation (Roster)

FORUM-ASIA is looking for experienced Fundraising Consultants to conceptualise and develop competitive donor proposals. Consultants will contribute to diversifying the donor base and increasing the financial sustainability of the Organisation.

Selected candidates will be working with FORUM-ASIA’s Resource Mobilisation Unit and in consultation with FORUM-ASIA staff and senior management team (SMT), members and potential partners. They will coordinate the development of proposals in a consultative manner and in accordance with internal Resource Mobilisation Process Guidelines.

The ideal candidates will have relevant experience and skills in project conceptualisation, design and drafting; organisational budgeting; logical framework and; results-based management. Extensive experience working in the human rights nonprofit sector is essential.
