Research Consultant

FORUM-ASIA wishes to undertake a mapping exercise with a focus on existing trends in financial lending by International financial institutions (IFIs), key stakeholders, examples of human rights abuses linked to IFIs (with a focus on Asia) and potential entry points for advocacy, access to remedy and overall accountability. In this regard, FORUM-ASIA is looking for a research consultant to conduct this mapping study and producing a research report.

South Asia Programme Associate (P1‐2)

Under the overall guidance and supervision of South Asia Programme Manager, the South Asia Programme Associate will assist CSM‐STAND project funded by USAID in Lumbini Province Nepal. Specifically, the SAP Associate shall be responsible for the following tasks: In relation to the Project.

Finance Officer (HRD)

The Finance Officer, working under the supervision of the Human Rights Defenders (HRD) Programme Manager and in collaboration with the Finance Programme, will provide support for managing project grants within the HRD Programme

Finance and Admin Associate (G1‐4)

South Asia Programme, as one of the two sub-regional country programmes, provides support for and facilitates communication and cooperation with member organisations in South Asia. In addition, the Programme conducts and coordinates thematic and country campaigns and advocacy at the South Asian level in cooperation with other related programmes within the Secretariat. The Finance and Admin Associate will assist the South Asia Programme Manager and Finance Manager in the implementation of the project to support independent civil society and media led by and for women, youth and marginalized communities in Nepal.

Management Support and Coordination Internship

FORUM-ASIA has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and a consultative relationship with the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights(AICHR).

The Senior Management Team (SMT) is a collective leadership model responsible for the oversight of the FORUM-ASIA Secretariat and the programmes of FORUM-ASIA in line with its Statutes, By-Laws, and other policies including its Gender Policy, Environment Impact Policy as well as the Staff Rules and Regulations (SRR), Financial Rules and Regulations (FRR) and decisions of the Executive Committee (EC) and the General Assembly.

Consultants Open Call – Fundraising/Resource Mobilisation (Roster)

FORUM-ASIA is looking for experienced Fundraising Consultants to conceptualise and develop competitive donor proposals. Consultants will contribute to diversifying the donor base and increasing the financial sustainability of the Organisation.

Selected candidates will be working with FORUM-ASIA’s Resource Mobilisation Unit and in consultation with FORUM-ASIA staff and senior management team (SMT), members and potential partners. They will coordinate the development of proposals in a consultative manner and in accordance with internal Resource Mobilisation Process Guidelines.

The ideal candidates will have relevant experience and skills in project conceptualisation, design and drafting; organisational budgeting; logical framework and; results-based management. Extensive experience working in the human rights nonprofit sector is essential.
