From 13 to 24 September 2010, the International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) will organise its Advanced Geneva Training Course on International Human Rights Law and Advocacy.
The course will be conducted in parallel to the 15th session of the Human Rights Council. The course is designed for experienced human rights defenders and organisations that have the capacity to use the international human rights system in their work.
The course will consist of 20 to 25 participants from around the world. It is based on an experiential education approach focusing on theoretical and practical aspects of international human rights law, the procedures and practices of the UN human rights mechanisms and the role of NGOs to improve the implementation of human rights treaties and standards.
