From Our Member Dignity – Kadyr-kassiyet (KK), Kazakhstan – Overview of the Situation of Protection and Safety of Lawyers and Attorneys in Kazakhstan from 2011 – 2019

FORUM-ASIA’s member Dignity in Kazakhstan publishes a report that gives an overview of the safety of human rights advocates, and lawyers are regarded as one of the seven categories of human rights advocates that have been threatened the most since 2017.

The report highlights various kinds of threats faced by lawyers and other human rights defenders, challenges related to the national legislation, resources used to counter those threats, and recommendations for civil society organisations,  central Asian countries, and international organisation.
