On 29-30 of March 2016 the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) and the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) will host a Regional Consultation on the Implementation of Regional Plans of Actions (RPAs) on the Elimination of Violence Against Women (EVAW) and the Elimination of Violence Against Children (EVAC), in Bangkok, Thailand.

ACWC Representatives, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) from ASEAN countries, experts on women’s rights, child’s rights and human rights as well as international organisations and institutions will participate in the Regional Consultation.

In particular, the Regional Consultation will provide a space for engagement between the ACWC and CSOs, which will be updated on the newly adopted RPAs on EVAW and EVAC and have the chance to consult and provide inputs to the ACWC.
