(Bangkok, 18 December 2014) – The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) grieves the loss of over 120 children in the callously orchestrated terror attack on the Army Public School, Peshawar, Pakistan. We call upon all States to ensure that the right to life of all persons are protected at all times. The attack carried out on 16 December 2014 is a grim reminder of the deteriorating environment for peace and human rights in Pakistan and we hope that State will take concrete measures to ensure that such heinous crimes are prevented in the future.
