In order to enhance the influence and effectiveness of Asian human rights champions and the advocacy efforts of civil society within the United Nations, particularly the UN Human Rights Council, we have established a Geneva office dedicated to UN advocacy since 2008.

By virtue of FORUM-ASIA’s presence in Geneva and our extensive experience in engaging with UN human rights mechanisms, we have empowered Asian human rights champions and civil society to actively advocate for the advancement and safeguarding of human rights in Asia, with a sense of ownership and direct participation.

The 53rd Regular Session of the UN Human Rights Council is scheduled to take place from 19 June to 14 July 2023.
