The 3rd Global Forum on Migration and Development will be held
on 2-5 November 2009 in Athens, Greece. The central theme for this
year is "Integrating
Migration Policies into Development Strategies for the Benefit of All". To
prepare for the Civil Society Day (CSD), the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit
Foundation, the organiser of the day, launched the 2009 GFMD website
on 4 April.

The website is now ready for online
dialogue. A question or a topic will be posted in a period of 15 days where
interested individuals or organisations may send in their comments. A summary of
the discussion will be made available after the 15-day period. The result of the
dialogue will be used as background material for consideration during the Civil
Society Day conference.
