{mosimage}The Report on the presentation of Special Procedures reports at the fourth and fifth regular sessions of the Human Rights Council offers specific mandate analyses into the prevalent human rights concerns in Asia.  The analysis provides a glimpse into the reports by the Special Procedures mandate holders and follows with corresponding interactive dialogues between the Council, states and NGOs.
The Report on the Special Procedures reports presented at the fourth and fifth regular sessions (12-30 March 2007 and 11-18 June 2007 respectively) of the Human Rights Council (Council) detail the findings of the Special Procedures mandate holders in respect to both thematic and country human rights reports.

The Report presents the positions of the mandate holders in reference to specific human rights concerns in Asia and follows with separate interactive dialogues with select states and NGOs following each mandate report.

The Special Procedures are divided between thematic and country mandates and again between the fourth and fifth regular Council secessions. The Thematic Mandate section covers analyses into a number of topical human rights concerns throughout the region whilst the Country Mandate section includes specific reviews aimed at addressing human rights concerns in Korea, Myanmar and Cambodia. The Report serves to provide a transparent forum for communication between the Council, select Asian states and NGOs.
