From Our Member Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), Bangladesh – Act Now for an Equal Tomorrow: International Women’s Day 2021

ASK, our member from Bangladesh, organised, jointly with the Department of Women Affairs, UNFPA Bangladesh,  together with Dhaka Tribune, with the support from the Netherlands Embassy, a cafe talk show – ‘Act Now for an Equal Tomorrow’ -, during the celebration of International Women’s Day, 8 March at Brac Centre Inn.

Yes to Equality’ – all the voices echoed together with this slogan, expressed solidarity in taking unified action for an equal tomorrow.

The one and half hour cafe talk show was vibrant with various cultural events, discussion on women leadership, and valuable speeches from the special guests Ram Chandra Das, Director General, Department of Women Affairs, MoWCA, Dr Asa Torkelsson, Representative, UNFPA, Golam Monowar Kamal, Executive Director, Ain o Salish Kendra; and Guest of Honour, HE Harry Verweij, Ambassador, The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
